Insight Global Testing Technician in Whitestown, Indiana

Job Description

One of Insight Global's leading aero engineering clients is looking for a Testing Technician to join their dynamic team in Indianapolis. They are seeking a person who is flexible, diligent, technically motivated and committed to delivering a high level of customer satisfaction to perform sensor application, testing and other related tasks for gas turbine engines and similar hardware, in an efficient and timely manner. This client provides expertise in key areas such as project management, design, analysis, instrumentation, manufacturing, and flight test support.

Key Responsibilities:

Applying and checking instrumentation, building assemblies, carrying out tests and other related technical tasks according to blueprints, PowerPoints, test plans or other definitions.

Applying knowledge and experience to use hand tools and operate test equipment, such as DVMs, leak checking equipment, calipers, resistance and laser welders and micrometers etc. per established procedures

Maintaining accurate records for tasks completed and issues confronted on a per job, per shift basis.

Collaborate with test cell operators to install and test equipment, contributing to the advancement of engineering projects.

Conduct thorough cleaning and maintenance of equipment post-testing, preparing it for secure crating and shipment.

Skills and Requirements

Previous experience with mechanical testing/assembly or working in a test environment.

A background working with engines in the automotive, locomotive, or turbo industry.

Extensive knowledge and skill in the use of hand tools for various mechanical tasks. Experienced in the safe operation of forklifts. null
