Robert Half Customer Experience Specialist in Plainfield, Indiana

Description We are seeking a Customer Experience Specialist for a contract-to-hire opportunity in the wholesale distribution industry. Based in Plainfield, Indiana, this role involves handling customer inquiries, processing orders, managing complaints, and assisting team members in daily tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and address customer needs to ensure satisfaction

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate procedures manual related to client support

• Handle customer complaints, providing timely and effective solutions

• Build sustainable relationships with customer accounts through open and interactive communication

• Participate in and initiate projects that improve safety, quality, and productivity

• Process and input all customer orders, running reports to check product availability

• Generate all related paperwork and information required for customer orders

• Coordinate special shipping requests with the operations department

• Track orders as required and notify customers of any activity concerning their order

• Act as the liaison between the warehouse, transportation, and the customer

• Oversee all paperwork associated with orders and maintain the corresponding files

• Ensure adherence to food safety and quality guidelines

• Assist other team members when needed and cross-train on multiple tasks

• Use problem-solving skills to analyze situations, troubleshoot, and make sound decisions. Requirements • Proven experience in customer service, preferably in the wholesale distribution industry

• Proficient in handling email correspondence and adept at written communication

• Experience in order management, including processing, tracking, and reporting

• Ability to serve as a liaison between various departments to ensure smooth operations

• Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on building customer relationships

• Ability to handle customer complaints and provide appropriate solutions

• Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize tasks based on customer needs

• Knowledge of CRM systems and practices

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging customer interactions

• Flexibility to work in shifts or during weekends if required.
