We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aides to join our team at Healthy Care Home Care. As a Personal Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing essential care and support to our clients in their homes. Your primary responsibility will be to assist individuals with daily activities, personal care, and ensuring their overall well-being.
Responsibilities: - Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. - Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and comfort of the clients. - Set up medications and maintain medication records as per client's care plan. - Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals. - Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition. - Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, cleaning, and organizing the client's living space. - Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in friendly conversation and activities. - Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and social outings. - Document and maintain accurate records of client care and daily activities. - Adhere to all healthcare and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent. - If you are a Personal Care Aide or Home Health Aide, certification is required. - If you are a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA), certification is preferred. - Knowledge of basic caregiving techniques and principles. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Compassionate and patient nature. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Reliable and punctual. - Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move clients when necessary. - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. - Must pass a criminal background check - Must have a recent negative TB test before seeing clients. - Must pass an assessment before seeing clients. - CPR certification required but will receive as job training.
