Position Purpose

Under the direct supervision of a certified staff member, to assist certified professional staff with students in the classroom to meet instructional goals and objectives, and to free certified professional employees from non-professional duties such as proctoring study halls to enable them to make a contribution to other aspects of the educational program, such as curriculum development.

Essential Job Functions

• Provide tiered academic and/or behavioral interventions for students involved in the MTSS process.Perform supervision duties as assigned by administrators; these may include but are not limited to:
  • In School Suspensions
  • Lunch/Breakfast Duty
  • Recess Duty
  • Providing coverage where needed
• Keep data/records for students who receive services through the program.
• Enter information into the record keeping system.
• Communicate with teachers, counselors and administrators regarding student progress. This may require attending meetings where student progress/needs will be discussed.
• Other duties as assigned by the principal or designee.

Additional Duties:

• Assist guidance, pupil services staff or building administration, as needed.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned.
