Description We are seeking a meticulous Staff Accountant to work within our team situated in Kokomo, Indiana. As a Staff Accountant, you will be tasked with multiple responsibilities, including preparing journal entries, assisting with month-end close processes, and conducting financial reviews. You will also be expected to utilize your knowledge of Excel and QuickBooks to manage and streamline our accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit journal entries as part of the company's financial procedures.

• Assist with the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately reported.

• Conduct financial reviews to guarantee the accuracy of information and to identify any discrepancies.

• Utilize Excel for data analysis and financial reporting tasks.

• Operate QuickBooks to manage and analyze financial data and transactions.

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks to ensure all financial data is up-to-date.

• Conduct bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.

• Maintain the general ledger to ensure all financial transactions are correctly inputted.

• Assist with the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately reported. Requirements • Must hold a minimum of one year's experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar

• Proficient in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Knowledgeable in managing General Ledger operations

• Skilled in making Journal Entries

• Capable of effectively handling Month End Close activities

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks or similar accounting software

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must have a strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
