As part of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing, directing, and managing all financial activities, ensuring alignment with our strategic directives. This role will involve a significant amount of financial analysis, reporting, and the management of core finance activities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and direct all financial activities in accordance with strategic directives established.

• Ensure the timely submission of all required regulatory filings.

• Align financial and accounting systems with the current and future direction of the company.

• Oversee the financial reports and analysis of financial records and trends.

• Ensure the department meets/exceeds industry accounting standards, including asset control and disbursement policies, and oversee all external financial audits.

• Support, advise, promote and advocate for staff; provide opportunities for professional and technical growth.

• Motivate staff; define priorities and communicate organizational goals and work with them to achieve them.

• Manage established policies, procedures and guidelines using tools provided in a fair and consistent manner.

• Interface with company management, vendors and clients to ensure coordination of customer service workflow, optimization of work policies and procedures, and identification of service needs and development of solutions.

• Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations.

Skills:

• Proficiency in 3M, Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, CapEx, CRM

• Familiarity with Accounting Functions, Auditing, Budget Processes, Capital Management, Cash Flow Analysis, Month End Close, Direct Supervision

• Experience in the Health Insurance Industry

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PeopleSoft

• Familiarity with Statutory Accounting, Statutory Financial Reporting, Process Improvement.

Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior finance role such as VP/Director of Finance.

• Proficiency in using advanced Microsoft Excel is essential.

• Demonstrated expertise in Accounting Functions, Auditing, Budget Processes, Capital Management, and Cash Flow Analysis.

• Proficiency in performing Month End Close tasks is required.

• Experience in Direct Supervision, including supervising management level employees

• Familiarity with PeopleSoft, Statutory Accounting, and Statutory Financial Reporting is necessary.

• Must have a proven track record in Process Improvement.

• Candidates are expected to have a strong understanding of Accounting Software Systems

• The role requires a strong capability to manage and improve Budget Processes and Capital Management.

• Experience in the Health Insurance Industry is required.

• Must have excellent skills in using Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

• An ability to perform tasks related to Month End Close, Direct Supervision, and Cash Flow Analysis is necessary.

• Proficiency in PeopleSoft is a prerequisite for this position.

• Candidates must have a solid background in Statutory Accounting and Statutory Financial Reporting.
