Elevance Health Tier I SOC Analyst in INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana

Tier I SOC Analyst

Location: This position will work a hybrid work model (remote & office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of our Indianapolis, IN PulsePoint office location.

The Tier I SOC Analyst is responsible for procedures to ensure the safety of information system assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.

How You Will Make An Impact :

  • Provide second level technical trouble support; solve randomly occurring problems.

  • Support customer service requirements for established information and computer security standards.

  • Administers information security safeguards.

  • Perform implementation tasks for system and network security technologies.

  • Execute testing. Perform technology upgrade tasks utilizing change control.

  • Design and configure vendor services orders for repetitive services & oversee implementation.

  • Compile data in support of equipment and user relocations or system migrations.

  • Perform simple configuration changes to meet business requirements under supervision.

  • Compile and collect capacity data to be used for planning purposes.

  • Perform documented preventative maintenance routines under supervision.

  • Assignment to project teams to represent information security requirements and perform operations and administration tasks.

  • Respond to level 3 & 4 change and problem requests; participate in level 1/2 incident recoveries with minimal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires an AA/AS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 2 years experience in support and operations role in any of the following areas: access management of network security technologies, servers, networks, telecommunications, operating systems, middleware, hardware/software support, or other infrastructure role.

  • Requires experience with providing top-tier support for 2 or more of the information security technology common body of knowledge skill sets: 1) Access Control, 2) Application Security, 3) Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning, 4) Cryptography, 5) Information Security and Risk Management 6) Legal, Regulations, 7) Compliance and Investigations, 8) Operations Security, 9) Physical (Environmental) Security, 10) Security Architecture and Design, 11) Telecommunications and Network Security.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities & Experiences:

  • Knowledge and understanding of industry-accepted data processing controls and concepts as applied to hardware, software, data, network communications, and people.
