We are looking to bring on board a Tax Director in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role involves managing tax operations and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), particularly relating to fixed assets. The Tax Director will also work closely with other teams, such as the Lease Accounting Department. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee tax processes to ensure all compliances and deadlines are met

• Apply expert knowledge of GAAP for fixed assets roll forwards, reconciliations, disposals, additions of fixed assets, and depreciation schedules

• Manage accurate accounting for large-scale construction of buildings and the purchase of dental equipment

• Handle renewal schedules proficiently and efficiently

• Ensure business operations align with company-specific tax rules and policies

• Utilize Sage FAS (Server/Desktop Version) to manage and account for fixed assets effectively

• Liaise with other teams such as the Lease Accounting Department

• Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or equivalent professional accreditation, preferred.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in tax management with a deep understanding of fixed asset accounting.

• Expertise in Sage FAS (Server/Desktop Version) is mandatory.

• Strong understanding of tax rules, regulations, and accounting standards.

• Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Excellent leadership and team management experience.

  Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the role of a Tax Director or similar position within the finance industry.

• Must have Sage FAS (desktop server version) experience and proficiency.

• Familiarity with CorpTax Software and other compliance software.

• Knowledge of Accounting Functions and Compliance.

• Expertise in Income Tax Accounting.

• Experience with Sage FAS, as in Formerly Best and Sage FAS 123R.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Excel Formulas.

• Ability to manage and direct all aspects of tax activities.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification such as CPA or similar is preferred.

• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage a tax team.
