Amergis RN Clinical Patient Educator in Indianapolis, Indiana
Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Clinical Patient Educator responsible for providing education to patients on medical treatments and/or medical equipment. Thisindividual is responsible for facilitating learning that is of a performance-based nature.
Responsibilities:
Plans patient educational program(s)
Coordinates and facilitateseducational sessions
Plans, prepares, and maintainsmaterials for use in patient education
Provides initial and ongoing educationand consultation
Tracks and measures patientsatisfaction
Attends continuing education
Assists in training and development ofnew educators as applicable
Acts as a mentor to new educators asapplicable
Acts as the Subject Matter Expert asapplicable
Observes safe work practices
Participates in research sessions
Performs other duties asassigned/necessary
Minimum Requirements:
Current RN license in state ofassignment
One to three (1-3) years trainingexperience preferred
Ability to facilitate education inmultiple formats (face to face, virtual learning, etc.)
Ability to collaborate with a healthcare team
Ability to work with a team to developcollaborative educational approaches and curriculum
Ability to effectively elicit/provideinformation to and from appropriate individuals (including,
but not limited to, supervisors,co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency
in the English language may berequired
Computer proficiency required
Must be at least eighteen (18) yearsof age
