Corteva Agriscience is seeking a talented and enthusiastic plant molecular biologist to join the Mode of Action & Resistance Management Center of Expertise, based at our Indianapolis Global Headquarters. This individual will play a crucial role in a cutting-edge target-based discovery project, primarily working in the lab within a collaborative, cross-functional environment to develop target specific assays. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of technical expertise, overcoming challenges and advancing projects.
Responsibilities - What You Will Do
Develop and execute protocols for expression of target proteins.
Validate and quantify expression of target proteins with protein quantification measures (luminescence, fluorescence, western blotting).
Critically analyze data and communicate results with project teams and stakeholders to make appropriate decisions about project direction.
Ensure a safe working environment by following the company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Requirements - What Skills You Need:
Ph.D. in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline with 0-2 years of post-doctoral experience.
Expertise in plant molecular biology
Expertise in heterologous protein expression.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and hands-on experience of protoplast isolation, culture, and transfection.
Experience in cell biology, protein biochemistry or structural biology.
