Robert Half Leasing Assistant in Indianapolis, Indiana

Description

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Assistant to support a leasing team in managing residential properties. The Leasing Assistant will play a vital role in assisting with leasing activities, providing administrative support, and delivering exceptional customer service to prospective tenants. This long-term contract/contract-to-hire opportunity is based in the Indianapolis area!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting prospective tenants with inquiries about available properties, rental rates, and leasing terms.

  • Conducting property tours and showcasing available units to prospective tenants.

  • Assisting with lease applications, screening prospective tenants, and preparing lease agreements.

  • Coordinating move-in and move-out processes, including conducting unit inspections and handling key exchanges.

  • Assisting with marketing efforts to promote available properties and attract prospective tenants.

  • Maintaining accurate records of leasing activities, including tenant information and lease agreements.

  • Providing excellent customer service to tenants throughout the leasing process and during their tenancy.

  • Addressing tenant concerns and maintenance requests promptly and professionally.

  • Collaborating with property management team members to ensure efficient operations and tenant satisfaction.

  • Assisting with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and answering phone calls.

    Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification; bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Previous experience in customer service, sales, or property management (preferred but not required).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with prospective tenants.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and regulations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio).

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all work.

  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and representing the company professionally.
