Summary:
The Insurance Senior Account Managers possess a high degree of product line knowledge and technical expertise. This position provides service to an assigned book of business with minimal producer or management involvement, prioritizes effectively and respond in designated time frames while working in a fast paced environment, acts independently to service large, complex accounts, as well as, as producer and servicer on assigned house accounts, and assists the producer in the production of new and renewal accounts.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintain responsibility for self-management and development.
Meet with supervisor to ensure alignment and gain agreement on goals and performance standards.
Record updates on goal achievements as indicated throughout year.
Represent Huntington Insurance as a product expert by staying current with industry changes, trends and opportunities.
Maintain and develop product line knowledge through education opportunities.
Act as a resource for continuous improvement initiatives.
Comply with Agency Procedures.
Follow procedures as outlined in agency procedures and updates.
Adhere to agency service standards and timelines.
Utilize agency technology and software applications including document management and agency management systems and workflows.
Comply with procedures as outlined in the Huntington Employee Handbook.
Provide Customer Service to Agency Clients.
Respond to internal and external client related inquiries within optimal time frames.
Take ownership and respond to customer inquiries and problem resolution responding in an optimal time frame as outlined in the agency procedures.
Coordinate client needs and communicate with producers and other team members.
Provide guidance to other team members as needed.
Assist in the Timely Delivery of Client Service.
Coordinate, direct and oversee the marketing process in conjunction with the producer and other team members.
Obtain necessary data throughout the marketing process.
Submit quote requests and monitor carrier responses.
Negotiate coverage pricing and conditions to meet client needs.
Review carrier quotes and conditions to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards.
Deliver new business and renewal recommendations within the established time frame.
Prepare client proposal documents.
Submit new business and renewal orders to carrier and monitor receipt of policy documents.
Review proposals and policy documents for quality assurance requirements in accordance with agency procedures.
Participate in client appointments and meetings as requested.
Participate in Agency Growth Initiatives.
Identify account rounding coverage opportunities.
Obtain and present quotes for recommended coverage.
Seek cross sell and referral opportunities across product lines.
Assist producers with new business prospecting activities.
Maintain agency data.
Maintain and update client and policy data per agency procedures
Utilize agency management systems, workflow applications and diary systems to ensure timely service and follow up
Document correspondence, conversations and activities according to agency procedures
Assist in Colleague Development.
Serve as product line resource as requested.
Assist with colleague training as requested.
Corporate Initiative.
Participate in corporate projects and initiatives.
Assist with workflow development and implementation to support corporate initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Exercise sound judgment, acting independently with a high degree of accuracy, providing account management support to high-volume book of business of complex and specialized accounts.
Prioritize effectively and respond in optimal time frames while working in a fast paced environment.
Demonstrate teamwork in the prospecting and production of new and renewal business.
Act as producer and servicer on assigned house accounts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Active property and casualty license
A minimum of 5 years property and casualty insurance experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Sagitta and ImageRight systems
Exceptional time management skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional grammar and demeanor
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Problem solving skills/ability to handle complex issues
Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
Prior experience working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment servicing clients and providing policy administration
Strong PC and Internet skills to include at least an intermediate user level of Microsoft Excel and Word
