Robert Half Customer Service Representative in Indianapolis, Indiana

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative role in the construction/contractor industry, based in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role will involve handling customer service calls, dealing with complaints, and directing queries to the appropriate party in a highly organized and detail-oriented manner. We are looking for two individuals for two different shifts. They are ONSITE, 10am - 7pm and 12pm - 9pm.

Responsibilities:

• Handle incoming and outbound customer service calls accurately and efficiently

• Address customer complaints, providing effective and timely resolutions

• Direct customer queries to the appropriate party within the team

• Provide quotations, sales and post-sales support to customers as needed

• Confirm and coordinate appointments with customers, ensuring a smooth and efficient process

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer service role within the construction/contractor industry

• Proven skills in customer service, with the ability to handle customer queries and complaints efficiently and professionally

• Experience in preparing and providing quotations for customers

• Solid background in sales, with the ability to upsell products and services effectively

• Ability to provide post-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction

• Experience in confirming and coordinating appointments, ensuring all parties are informed and prepared

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers, team members, and other stakeholders

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks efficiently

• Proficient in using computer software and systems relevant to the role

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; a higher degree or certification in a related field is desirable

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think quickly and offer solutions

• Must be a team player, with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
