We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Billing Team Lead to join our team. Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, this role will involve overseeing the management of accounts receivable balances, ensuring the accuracy of charges, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of medical policies from various insurers.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing accounts receivable balances and overseeing the accuracy of charges entered.

• Maintain current knowledge of all pertinent medical policies from Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurers.

• Supervise department staff and provide guidance and support as needed.

• Maintain a monthly account of receivables over 30, 60, and 90 days, ensuring that overdue accounts are addressed within the policy and procedures.

• Manage the patient collection process to ensure timely submission of past-due accounts.

• Address and resolve any previously approved insurance claim that has subsequently been denied.

• Handle all patient complaints regarding billing in a timely and consistent manner.

• Approve and coordinate all patient and insurance refunds.

• Maintain all provider and facility credentialing files.

• Utilize Microsoft Office Suites to organize and manage billing functions.

• Apply knowledge of medical coding and medical billing to ensure accurate and efficient operations.

Requirements • The applicant must have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, such as a Billing Supervisor or Manager.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites is required to manage and organize billing data efficiently.

• The candidate should be well-versed with Billing Functions to ensure smooth operations.

• Knowledge of Medical Coding is essential, as it is a significant part of the billing process.

• The potential candidate should have experience in Medical Billing to handle healthcare accounts effectively.
