Aerotek Operator Technician in Goshen, Indiana

Description:

Seeking 1st shift Operator Technician with a pathway into becoming a Maintenance Technician. You'll start as a Finish Technician and will responsible for setting up machines and be the first person to respond to machine malfunctions within a specific department. You'll be responsible for setting up the finishing machines, troubleshooting, repairing to an extent, and getting a Maintenance Technician involved after you've troubleshot all issues you think it could be. You'll partner with that Maint Tech to troubleshoot/repair the issue to grow and advance your skills. You'll also be responsible for educating and guiding other operators to avoid repetitive machine errors and keep an eye on all equipment within this department. Must be a professional communicator to be able to respond appropriately to radio calls. Equipment includes hydraulic/pneumatic pumps, spray guns/hoses/booths, conveyors/elevators, ovens, sealers/sanders, belts, pulleys, brushes, motors, bearings, valves, rollers, etc. Must have mechanical aptitude, basic understanding of electric, ability to work OT & in other areas when needed, and be a logical thinker capable of identifying a problem and figuring out how to come up with a solution. Designated work areas have gotten up to 105*F during peak summer months and you can smell paint/stain fumes. PPE is provided/required for specific equipment work.

1st Shift: Mon-Fri. 4am-1:30pm

-Basic Electrical Understanding (how things work, that 480v is dangerous, LOTO a must, & what to stay away from)

-Mechanically inclined with Machine Operating/Set-up

-Previous attendance issues

-Attitude, someone not willing/able to work as a team
