Summary: Provides counsel and advice on compliance and quality management in the design, alteration, and modernization of BMS. Subject matter expert (SME) on Building Management Systems (BMS) to include Niagara, Compass, Delta, Distech. Ensures compliance and quality management to Facilities Manager (FM), developing, acquiring, and executing large and complex infrastructure repair and modernization projects to ensure measurable performance work statements (PWS). Troubleshoots BMS codes and designs action plans to mitigate and correct future corrective and preventative maintenance issues. Develops training and customized graphics to troubleshoot technical issues within BMS. Reviews large quantities of disparate data, improving building performance using fault detection monitoring and analytics. Networks, partners, and consults with construction to review sequences to streamline resources, spatial constraints, and provide operational expertise to ensure cost savings prior to project starts. Develops and manages daily cost savings initiatives, mitigating contractor on-site visits, and energy cost savings.

Education: Requires Associate’s Degree in a related field. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field, preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Niagara 4 - Technical Certification Program (TCP). HVAC Certification & Professional State Licensure preferred.

Experience: Minimum of five years experience with building management systems. Prefer experience with Niagara Building Management System. Must have extensive skill in electrical theory and practical applications to develop accurate estimates and makes sound recommendations for repairs, sustainment, and optimization of building mechanical infrastructure systems. Must be knowledgeable of local, municipal, and building codes, criteria, and standards. Advanced knowledge of Plant Operations, HVAC, Electrical, and Pumping Systems. Advanced knowledge of Computer Systems and Pneumatics. Knowledge in HTML5.
