What You'll Do:Operate a vehicle, with a GVW greater than 26,001 pounds to collect and transport waste materials as scheduled and directed in a safe, efficient, and productive manner.

  • Preparefor daily assignments by inspecting the vehicle and equipment.
  • Spot and pick-up loads at customer designated locations.
  • Secureloads to prohibit spills or flying debris while in transit to the landfill or other disposal facilities.
  • Completerequired paperwork and review for accuracy.
  • Check vehicle prior to leaving the year and upon returning to the yard to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Note any vehicle defects and report needs for repair.
  • Maintain an acceptable appearance and highest standard of conduct within engaging customers.
  • Remainflexible regarding assignments and other duties and exhibita cooperative effort and teamwork in working with fellow drivers and other employees.
  • Maintaincleanliness of the truck cab and helpto maintain the truck and upkeep of the yard area.
  • Performall functions in accordance with the "Yes, I Can" philosophy, provides support, backup and training and performs work of other positions, as qualified, when needed and performs special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and background check.
  • High school education or equivalency preferred.
  • Ability to read and write English legibly and keep detailed records of work performed.
  • Must possess a non-expired Commercial Drivers License (CDL A or B).
  • 1-year of heavy diesel truck driving experience preferred.
  • Must be able to drive a manual transmission truck.
  • Ability to regularly lift and arry up to 60 lbs.
  • Bilingual is a plus!
