Overview:

Join our team as an Custodian and contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students, visitors, and staff. As an Custodian you will play a crucial role in sanitation by ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of classrooms, common areas, and other university facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as mopping, sweeping, dusting, and vacuuming classrooms, common areas, and other assigned areas.

• Disinfect high-touch surfaces and equipment to prevent the spread of infections.

• Collect and dispose of waste and hazardous materials according to protocols.

• Restock supplies such as toiler paper, soap, and paper towels in restrooms and other designated areas.

• Follow safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a hazard-free work environment.

• Collaborate with other team members and university staff to meet cleanliness standards and address any cleaning-related issues promptly.

• Maintain confidentiality and respect privacy at all times.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial services, or environmental services preferred.

• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.

• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.

• Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that may require bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evening, weekends, and holidays as needed.
