Cook Medical Business Systems Analyst in Bloomington, Indiana
Overview
The Business Systems Analyst at Cook Inc. coordinates with the IT support team to assist in planning, requirements/analysis, verification, and maintenance of multiple solutions within the Cook global organization. The Business Systems Analyst also elicits the business needs of the customer to help determine solutions to complex business problems.
Responsibilities
• Assist/participate in system testing and support to increase effectiveness of new changes or modifications• Create/execute test plans and scripts to determine optimal performance • Conduct analysis of client business processes and functional requirements• Prepare documentation to communicate/validate the information• Analyze data, evaluate existing application products, and recommend solutions that support business processes and functional requirements• Participate in cross-functional task forces to identify and document requirements, work flow, information sources and distribution paths• Apply technical and business knowledge to analyze client requirements in project areas such as; IT testing and product acceptance, new business operating models with innovative approaches to IT solutions support, market research of emerging or available product functionality, and operational readiness assessment
• Gather source material through research, meetings/interviews with stakeholders, or other independent means to stay abreast of documentation needs and updates• Capture baseline and target requirements and architecture across the business, information and technology domains• Facilitate/attend meetings that drive completion of required deliverables
Qualifications
• Bachelor degree in IS or related field; or experience of such kind and amount as to provide a comparable background• Minimum 4 years experience in the software or information systems industry
• Experience in Business Analysis, Technical Writing, Software Testing, Systems Development Methodolgies and Process Improvement is preferred• Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and documentation skills• Experience using and demonstrating organizational skills
