To set up and operate O.D. grinders to grind and polish various diameter bar stock to exacting dimensions.

Operates various grinding equipment (i.e. OD grinders, grinding wheels, grinding/polishing belts, etc.)

Utilizes additional hand and power tools

Use of gages, calipers, and other checking and inspection tools.

Completes various paperwork related to production reporting.

Operates lift truck, crane or uses hand truck to move materials.

Maintains good housekeeping at all times.

Inspects equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel for repairs and performs preventive maintenance as required.

Performs other duties as necessary or as requested by supervisor

High School education or equivalent

One year of previous manufacturing experience

Good communication skills written and verbal. Ability to read and comprehend simple instruction, short correspondence, and memo. Ability to write simple correspondence.

Safety glasses and safety boots are required.
