Job Overview

Major Responsibilities

· Responsible for production of molded product and/or assembly line operations, with focus on ensuring achievement of hourly and shift targets with respect to Safety, Quality, Output and Delivery.

• Ensure internal/external policy compliance for machine operators (HRL, HSE, etc.)

• Performs Layered Process Confirmations to ensure standards are followed, including identifying deviations and/or opportunities for improvements along with mentoring and coaching associates.

• Analyse machine and associate performance in accordance to the standard cycle times.

• Lead implementation and maintenance of line side 5S efforts.

• Maintain shift performance records and line side documentation requirements.

• Communicate daily performance issues with next shift via pass down meetings.

• Ensure immediate response to deviations from standards, up to and including technical adjustments to equipment/machinery.

• Identify and record any non-conformities; maintain required records, charts, and reports (ie: downtime, SPC, etc.)

• Follow established Safety and Production Standards.

• Responsible for verbal and written communication to associates, including but not limited to plant wide and vertical communications, etc.

• Complies with all OSHA regulations and safety rules.

• May be required to relieve machine operations.

Qualifications

· Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

· Possess a high school diploma or GED.

· Successfully complete Company’s powered industrial equipment certification program

· Capable of operating various types of powered industrial equipment.

· Demonstrate basic computer skills. Prior SAP knowledge preferred.

· Work flexible and overtime hours as necessary.

Physical Demands:

· Stand and walk for long periods of time.

· Regularly lift and/or move 15 pounds, frequently lift and/or move 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

· Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; bend, kneel and squat.

· Possess vision abilities that include close, distant and peripheral vision and depth perception.

· Able to withstand non-climate controlled environments.
